The Arduino is an ATMEGA8
I have considered the Arduino because on their site www.arduino.cc
they have instructions on how to build an Arduino
http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardSerialSingleSided3
Using the Arduino software you can burn the bootloader on using various methods.
I have looked at that USB programmer and it looks very good(i was
going to build one but never got around to)
Currently a USB programmer is not too much of a worry as i have 3
computers with working parallel port.
I have continued to do some more reasearch and found this
http://ladyada.net/techproj/Atmex/index.html.A board with an
ATTiny2313 with a bootloader.
Anybody got any thoughts on this one?
So basically what I am after is a programmer (with bootloader) that i
can build and burn myself, is relatively cheep and easy to source
components.
