I usualy pay the same $35 as everyone else does to
Networksolutions.com There might be better deals, but on the other
hand, everyone knows how to deal with the paperwork with them...

I'm thinking something along the lines of a meta-FAQ

"You've just got involved in kite flying. Let us whow you the ropes:

 - Which kite to choose
 - Where abouts to buy it
 - How to set it up
 - Hints and tips for new fliers.
 - Get in touch with your local scene. Tell us where you are and
we'll point you in the direction of:
    - Local fliers who may be willing to help you get started
    - Your nearest clubs
    - Your nearest specialist kite stores
    - Any manufacturers that happen to be in your locality
    - Noted flying sites in your area.
 - The online scene
    - discussion groups
    - interactive chat
    - mailing lists
    - search engines
