Hello Everyone,
I have a question regarding a post:
http://www.template-toolkit.org/pipermail/templates/2002-September/003717.ht
ml.
Neither my digest email or the website allow me to download this gif. I
tried emailing the author of the post but the email bounced back :-(. Does
anyone happen to have the TT.gif file he used?
Also, I have another question that's probably not related, please don't
respond if you feel I should be outta here. I keep an online journal for my
family and friends, the site uses template toolkit and a mysql database for
everything, I'm having a problem inserting quotes into the mySQL database.
When I post content I use an editor from sourceforge and part of the post
includes "'s that are in html. As soon as the variable is put into the
insert statement the first quote ends the statement and it gives me a mySQL
error. I have found a dumb workaround but it doesn't work 100% I change all
quotes to "e; equiveleant and change it back when I need to edit and
post. Now, the Gossamear Threads mysqladmin utility can post quotes just
fine, so, I know there has to be a way. I was told to use placeholders, but,
I don't really understand how:
That last message sent prematurely... *sigh* sorry. I wasn't finished.
So, I was told to use placeholders, here is an example of what I'm doing, it
will only show up in IE 5.5+:
http://www.metallaoui.com/cgi-bin/admin/index.cgi the username is tt and
password is template. I'm still a newbie, so, please assume I know nothing
:-). The page the posts show up on are http://www.metallaoui.com
Thanks,
Wassim
