My experience so far

I've just upgraded my server to Mythbuntu 16.04 a couple of days ago
(from 15.04)
I haven't checked to see if mythtv is using a different systemd script
to what I had on 15.04.

Upgrading from 15.04 to 15.10 required removing mythtv and zoneminder
which installed again with no configuration required after the 16.04
upgrade.

One thing that has been fixed is that NFS now starts up with systemd on
my PC, I think in 15.04 there was a timing issue or something which
stopped it starting on boot every time.

I had to make a couple of minor changes to apache configuration files
for my https to work again
 * changing VirtualHost port 443 in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-
default.conf
 * changing /var/www in several files to /var/www/html

The main problem I've had so far is that network manager is now more
fu*#king pervasive.  It's never worked well for me with a static ip
address, primarily screwing up DNS resolution.  Now if you manually
configure network interfaces via /etc/network/interfaces, network
reliant gnome apps do not work (it stopped my Evolution mail client).
Setting up the network with network manager produced some flakey
results and I suspect that after a reboot it will play up again.
Probably time to set fixed dhcp addresses for my server in my routers.

On a real big plus, I can now have sound out of both my HDMI output
(Nvidia GT220) and analog output at the same time.  Haven't upgraded my
lounge client yet but am hoping for the same audio plus, it's running
14.04 so I think that'll be a single step upgrade.  I'm suspecting
there may be problems on that machines my HDMI CEC setup but am hoping
mythtv's cec control is more integrated and I can get rid of my custom
libcec-daemon

Boot time is faster.

Video using the new Web FrontEnd doesn't play (Chrome or Firefox) with
an error 'Your browser does not support adaptive streaming with HTML 5
Video, you will need to  install JW Player™  to use this HLS test page'
which I haven't investigated yet.

I think there's an extra performance level in the nvida settings.

Just looked at cpu usage as PC seemed to be running a bit sluggish and
noticed that there's two busy mythtranscode jobs running and I thought
I previously had none setup to ever run.

Regards
Mark
