I've had no problems with full re-scanning recently - have done two
in the last couple of weeks (for sommet sports and then TV2+1).
Previously (myth 0.25 and earlier) a rescan would overwrite all my
existing channels with whatever it found. But the last couple of times
it has only inserted the new channels appropriately (including the
ones I'd deleted like Central TV etc) and it didn't touch my old ones
- great!
YMMV, of course.
