Reminds me of recent similar symptoms, programme listed on FE, could not 
find file, all seemed OK on BE, except small file size. Following moving 
some furniture a little earlier, the plug on the end of the oldest 
aerial cable in the room became partially detached(which is now 
obviously in need of replacement) , and I didn't have a good signal 
getting to my tuner (or TV).  Fortunately discovered quickly enough, 
easily rectified, and I didn't have too many missed programmes as this 
was going to impact all recordings. Doesn't help with your issue though 
if you're successfully recording other programmes?
