[mythtvnz] new to list

It's a standard Ubuntu install. The main purpose is to have a computer
which also does TV, so I shied away from the Mythbuntu distro. It's still a
dual boot with Windows, and I wasn't game enough to do a triple boot. I'm
running a Hauppauge PVR-150 analogue card, which will need to be updated
once things switch to digital(!) But for now, I'm just trying to replicate
the setup I had with WinTV on Windows XP, since the TV is the one thing we
still need Windows for.

Two weeks after installing Ubuntu, I wish I'd done this years ago!  It's
been a good adventure.

I've had two goes at setting up the MythTV backend, but for some reason it
can't scan the channels. I'll have another go on the weekend and document
everything carefully, so I can post to the list if it still doesn't work.
