Hi there, just a FYI in case others are noticing something similar on
their systems...
Old news for some I'm sure, but today I noticed mythbackend and mysql
were running at 300% CPU *each* (8cores) even though they weren't doing
any recordings or anything. I restarted the services - everything but a
reboot - nothing got the CPU load down
A strace and a Google search later lead me to the following - it's a
kernel bug due to the July 1st leap second
https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/7/1/19
I ran
date -s "`date`
and before my eyes the load just dropped away to near nothing. I assume
a reboot would have worked too.
