[mythtvnz] Recommendations for monitor with speakers

Greetings all

I'm looking to put another frontend together (a Zotac ION) and think that
a 24" monitor with internal speakers would hit the right price point for
the display.

I've been eying up the Viewsonic VX2439WM 24" offering at
   http://www.viewsonic.com.au/products/productspecs.php?id=448
as a local supplier has them on special but it appears that the audio is
not decoded from the HDMI input but has to be a separate analogue
connection.

Does anyone have any other recommendations bearing in mind that this
monitor gives me change from $300 inc.

The 24" is arbitrary (its the Goldilocks size - not too big and not too
small), really a matter of finding the right price!!

On a similar note, is there a cheaper option to the $70 for a Hauppauge
MCE USB remote that has the same (or as good as) functionality?
