I don't know much about 'best' but one snippet of wisdom I can offer is 
that the Sony 'PlayTV' usb DVB-T device works just fine under linux... 
since about 2.6.30

I recently ended up with one I couldn't use (DVB-S reception only), gave 
it to colleague who made it go in a short amount of time.

While we're on the subject of DVB-S what is the recommend dual tuner 
DVB-S card ? And does anyone want to swap a dual DVB-S for a HVR-4000 
(DVB-S/DVB-T combo) ?

Will dual tuner cards run from a single LNB with a splitter or is a dual 
LNB required also ?
