[mythtvnz] tv_grab_nz-py: Help needed

I am trying to get listings.  I am getting none

I followed the instructions on 
http://wiki.linux.net.nz/FreeViewHDMythTvNotes and copied tv_grab_nz_py 
into the /usr/local/bin and made it executable by all.

I selected it in mythtv-setup 3-Video Sources

I ran the configure option that appeared.

Never at any point during or after running mythtv-setup was I asked what 
channels I wanted.  I had run tv_grab_nz-py --configure by hand earlier.

The back end status says: FAILED: xmltv returned error code 512.
There's guide data until 2011-12-18 19:00 (7 days).

(Where is that 7 days data?)

The mythbackend.log is repeatedly (severl times a second) writing "[h264 
@ 0x7100120]number of reference frames exceeds max (probably corrupt 
input), discarding one"


I am lost and confused and without any listing data
