These probably are af9035 chipsets - they don't work and probably never
will.
The older version of these used the af9015 chipset which work great,
unfortunately there is no way to tell without plugging them in.
Check the linuxtv wiki for a list of working adaptors and then pick them up
from pricespy.co.nz or trademe.co.nz for cheapest.
