The HD video I am recording from TV is jerky when I play it.

I am using a usb digital TV decoder thingy, and have a reasonably
powerful computer.

I am wondering what the best approach is? Can I programme MythTV to
transcode the video to something I can watch. I have played around with
settings in AvideMux and it takes 10 hours to transcode an our of video,
but the results are great. I am sure I could do better than 10 to 1.

Shoukd I get a more powerful computer? Wht are the minimum specs for
playing HD video with out specialised hardware?

Is there a better video card I can get that will decode the video in
hardware?

cheers
Worik

PS: FWIW here is the output for one half of /proc/cpuinfo (this is
times two for a dual core cpu). It is a Dell.
