Given that my sisters place is approx 2km away, wireless g is the only 
affordable option I have.  I have 2 wrt54g routers connected to a 
retrofitted sky dish at each end. 
I used to be able to get 1.2MB/sec,but with the huge uptake in 2.4ghz 
devices in the last few years, not to mention trees in the path getting 
bigger that rate has dropped a bit.
If it means a bit of fiddling to save the ~$80 that sky want a month to 
see the odd rugby game then I'll do it :-)
