I need some help troubleshooting my LiveTV setup.
When I run LiveTV the screen flashes for a second and stays at the main menu
in MythTV and the following messages get printed to the console:
2009-03-10 18:28:01.065 Using protocol version 40
2009-03-10 18:28:01.077 TV: Attempting to change from None to WatchingLiveTV

2009-03-10 18:28:01.111 EntryToProgram(0 at Thu Jan 1 12:00:00 1970) failed to
get pginfo

2009-03-10 18:28:01.186 DPMS Reactivated.
I've googled the error and so far 2 solutions have been suggested, both of
which i have tired with no success.
1. Make sure the recording directory is writable.
I have set up my Storage directories for Default, LiveTV and DB Backups
groups to point to /mnt/recordings/default, /mnt/recordings/live and
/mnt/recordings/backup which have 777 permissions.
:~$ ls -l /mnt/recordings/
total 4
drwxrwxrwx 2 mythtv mythbox 6 2009-03-10 18:45 backup
drwxrwxrwx 2 mythtv mythbox 6 2009-03-10 18:45 default
drwxrwxrwx 2 mythtv mythbox 6 2009-03-10 18:45 live
drwxrwxr-x 27 mythtv lpadmin 4096 2008-07-20 10:20 music
drwxrwxr-x 2 mythtv mythbox 39 2009-01-18 19:59 pictures
2. Set up channel information
I've set up the tv_grab_nz-py grabber and set the channel numbers of each
channel. MythWeb shows fully populated listing data.
System:
Core 2 Duo
Nova-T 500
NVIDIA 8600 gt
I'm using the Jean-Yves VDPAU patches, but I don't think it is related to
that as I haven't had this working for a long time.
Any suggestions on what to try next? Could I have messed up one of the two
solutions i've already tried? Do you need more info? Help??!
Cheers,
Jesse
