The $70 DVB-S cards on trademe are based on the DM1105 chipset. There's a
DM1105 driver in Jaunty but it needs patching from Igor's git repo to get
it working with these cards. A guy off trademe sent me a sample card with
the intent to get it working in Linux but I really haven't had the time
lately. Any kernel hackers here want to give it a shot? I'll send the card
on to someone on this list (free!) with the intent of getting the driver
working and providing info/patchset on how it was done.

Email me off list if you're interested.

Sam Hadley-Jones.
