[mythtvnz] Two Different DVB-S cards SOLVED

For any one hanging out for an answer....
The problem was I was using a splitter from the Satellite dish with one power pass channel, connected to the Technotrend.
I had assumed that the Technotrend power would power the Nova-S also, that was not the case, as a volt meter suggests they only power up when running.
The fix is to use a splitter with power pass on all channels.
Now to figure out why Satellite Radio does not seem to record correctly, although it plays live fine.
Kind regards
David

Subject: [mythtvnz] Two Different DVB-S cards
Hi
I have a technotrend and Nova-s (and a PVR-150) in a mythbuntu 8.10 box.
The 150 and the Technotrend have configured up and are working, however I cannot get the Nova-s to Lock to scan its channel set. Setting it up it seems this scan is required. (Or a channels.conf import?) I have tried scanning the channels (that the technotrend has already done successfully) however I cannot get a lock for this card nor scan the channels. I have tried both frequencies - 12483000 and 12456000
It seems a second LNB config definition was also required in the setup.
Is a 2nd scan required when using two similar but different model DVB-S cards in the same box?
Any suggestions how I might proceed would be welcomed please.
Kind regards
David
