[mythtvnz] Mythbuntu 8.10 Diskless Clients

Happy New Year to you all!

As one of those put off to Xmas Hols jobs, I decided to upgrade the old 
Knoppmyth boxes that have been running for a few years and try out the 
latest version of Mythbuntu.
Got the backend sorted (2x 150's & 1x Skystar2) with a little help from 
the MythKiwi Control panel (Thanks Hayden).

Decided to try the diskless option for the frontend box with a spare USB 
mem stick, but am struggling to get the frontend to boot into Myth.
Following the instructions and produced an image and then wrote it to 
the formatted Mem stick, but PC wouldn't boot - non system disk.

Traced the fault to the mem stick not setup to boot, worked out how to 
'syslinux' it and the PC will now boot, gets an IP address, but is 
unable to load Myth from the Backend.
The Backend daemon.log shows the following:

Jan  4 16:58:42 mythbe1 nbd_server[8468]: Read failed: No route to host


Has anyone had any luck in getting the diskless client thing to work?
Any suggestions welcome.
