[mythtvnz] frontend hanging with lots of [h264_vdpau @ 0xb73b8784]warning: first frame is no keyframe inthe log

I have an interseting situation.
I am running mythtbuntu, latest beta version, latest Jean-Yves patches 
with VDPAU 185.13 and I am encountering a situation where on Live TV, 
the screen freezes and the CPU goes up from 3% to 10% and writes out 
endlessly:

2009-04-06 10:38:19.588 [h264_vdpau @ 0xb73b8784]warning: first frame is 
no keyframe

I've had a bit of a hunt around the web but no luck understand what is 
happening, does anyone else have this issue?
