Thats a "how long is a piece of string" question! I suspect "yes" but
who knows without real world tests.

Yes there are various DVB tools. myth will itself give you a signal
strength indication each time you change channel, but if you are
trying to install a dish the dvbtools will probably help. However a
sat meter will be asier, and aprofessional installer will have
something miles better than that.
