Yes.. thats it :-) The new version of VLC shows the options better..
you have Teletext Subtitles and 16x9 subtitles

I was using 0.8.6 (latest stable last night) (which the AAC didn't work), 
but I just installed the nightlies version of vlc 0.9.0-XX and it will play 
both the audios perfectly and you can switch between them

AAC channels: 2 samplerate: 24000
A/52 channels:6 samplerate: 48000: bitrate: 224000

I will have to try watching the other channels tonight with VLC and see if 
they work well.
