I think that it would make sense to limit the page to whatever was
NZ-specific and keep everything else general. I would love to see a
list of recommendations for each component that linked to where they
were available in NZ (with pricespy/cheap links). That said, it would
make sense for the recommendation to link to, say,
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Leadtek_WinFast rather than
recreate all that information.

I agree that some MythTV stuff is NZ-specific, but we don't want to
have to maintain a full device database either.

Key things that I (of the top of my head) would see as NZ-specific are:
- whether it works with NZ digital TV (only really relevant to tuners
and, to a limited degree, video cards (acceleration etc.));
- guides to setting it up in a NZ context (again, only really relevant
to tuners etc.)

For everything else (like remote controls etc.), the only really
interesting thing to me is whether it is available in NZ and how much
- centralising all other information on the component's mythtv.org
wiki page (and merely linking to it from the NZ page) would seem the
easiest approach.

As an aside, a big thanks out to those working to make MythTV work better in NZ.
