If you're handy you can build one (or more) off the many different
instructions around the place - I used

(though it appears the dynamic DNS isn't keeping up to date at the
moment - it should come back shortly)
or some other sources at

It's really very simple to make one - a serial cable, IR LED, diode
and resistor, bit of heatshrink tubing or insulation tape - $10-$20
depending on what you have lying around and about 30 mins work.
