[mythtvnz] List Info (reprise)

Just an update from the admin:

* The list opened on 29 November 2005 and had 22 members in the first 24
hours.

* On 8 August 2006 I reported that we had 86 subsribed email addresses,
but because a number were duplicate "nomail" accounts there were probably
80 unique members:

* Today we have 156 subscribed email addresses of whih 15 seem to be
nomail dups so thats 141 unique subscribers.

* There must be a reasonable number of lurkers - lets hear from you, let
us know what you are doing with myth, what equipment you have and what
disto etc you are running.

* The archives at http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/mythtvnz/
report 3,089 messages in 538 threads. Thats an average of approx 5 new
messages and one new thread a day.

* My view is that the advent of freeview is likely to create even more
interest in MythTV - the quality and ease of recordings is far better tha=
n
an analogue tuner or an analogue feed off the back of a Sky box. This can
only be good for our community.

* What really annoys me is the constant drivel from the Freeview
consortium about "when" a PVR for Freeview might be available. Wake up an=
d
smell the coffee guys, MythTV, VDR, (and the windows products) work here
and now to record Freeview!
