The symbol rate is the same on both B1 and D1 sourced transponders,
22.5Msym/s. (Aside: since this is QPSK modulation as it's DVB-S, it's
two bits per symbol giving us 45Mbit/s per transponder.)
So there's no reason other than deciding to tune things to tweak the
bitrate down. If anything, with the stronger footprint from horizontal
beams landing off D1, they should be able to up the symbol rate a bit.
