Well, I've sort of had a partial success. I've got the remote working, but not very well. The provided config file for the TTS35AI ( the 100... remote just doesn't work at all, so I created my own usint the irrecord utility. However, it's not working too well - have to press buttons twice, and don't seem to have any volume control. The faq suggests that it isn't recognising the RC-5 protocol in use, but it does state that. I think I'll try recreating the file tomorrow - it's beer o'clock now!
Nothing worked until I set the device to /dev/lirc0 in the /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
Adding the config to the list in /usr/share/lirc/remotes/technisat, and then creating an entry for the remote in /usr/share/lirc/lirc.hdwr ( munging the default serial and the existing technicat entry ) brought it up in the list of remotes in the mythbuntu remotes selection page.
I think I now need some guidance in mapping the buttons on the remote to functions within the mythbuntu menu system. Can anyone point me resources to help me in getting that right?
Also, is there a wiki/forum/similar anywhere that I can publish all of this once I get it working properly?
Cheers,
Steve
