They should change the stream to indicate 4:3 and fill the frame with the
4:3 content allowing the STB to give users the option of watching how they
want to.

And why they give us this compromise crap on analog is really something I
don't get. I have 1-2cm of black on all 4 sides of the screen on my 4:3 tv
when something 4:3 is showing on 3...
