Most people out there with projectors have 4:3 ones, since they are cheaper
then the widescreen home theater ones.

I've seen this written up somewhere but I can't find the article.

Basically I have customers who need a way to specify an aspect ratio
override on a per-channel basis rather than globally. The mess Tv3 + C4
are making of 4:3 content is already rather annoying.

With a 16:9 TV it is hard to "fill" the screen when a 4:3 picture is
embedded in 16:9.

On a 4:3 TV some people want 16:9 when it is really 16:9 and 4:3 when it
is really 4:3. Again no way to do this automatically.

I've written to TV3/C4 about this but I'm not expecting any action from
there side.
