I agree. However they could still make decisions that would a SkyStar2
unusable with FreeView. I'm thinking of the case where they encrypt
everything and require a CI card (but don't charge a monthly
subscription).

I believe you're refering to the BCL press release. All the others
have said DVB-S primarily and initially, with DVB-T to follow. I
suspect BCL's slant toward DVB-T is because they would prefer that.

Btw, Optus D1 is scheduled for launch between 10 and 11am Saturday
morning. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong!
