Well I've finished yet another session up on the roof with no results. I
tried 1883 on both H and V:
mothergoose:~# dvbtune -tone 1 -f 1883000 -s 22500 -D 0 -p v -m
Using DVB card "ST STV0299 DVB-S"
tuning DVB-S to L-Band:0, Pol:V Srate=22500000, 22kHz=on
polling....
Getting frontend event
FE_STATUS:
polling....
Getting frontend event
FE_STATUS: FE_HAS_SIGNAL FE_HAS_CARRIER
polling....

mothergoose:~# dvbtune -tone 1 -f 1883000 -s 22500 -D 0 -p h -m

But nothing else. The dish is aimed smack on at where D1 should be at
160E (311 degrees on my compass, up 39.9 degrees from my location) and
the sat finder was going crazy there.
I don't have myth installed on that box yet, so didn't have dvbscan, but
I tried manually tuning into some frequencies on B1 and B3 as well as a
few from D1, on both H and V, and saw nothing more than the above
outputs for any of them.
I think I'm ready to accept the card is just dead. I'll hunt around for
something else to test with.
Thanks,
Neil
