Sadly (for me) this will be my last transmission under this "handle",thatsC.B. radio talk for
your e-address,for those of you lucky enough to be too young to remember.I go to join
the ranks of being a "national statistic".
The part i'm going to miss is not being able to have a go about Paul's navigation skills,
maybe he's improved/will improve.... ...no ,Rachel you can take over this honour.
Before i sign off,a bit of nostalgia.
The Mad 4 dance (aka CORE CEROCERS) list started with a "germ" of an idea
from Paul about having a list that owed no allegiance to a particular dance school.
It came to fruition one sunny summers afternoon in '99 as Paul ,Amanda and i
walked the fields of West Horsley.
The next day Paul(being the geek) put the list out with our 3 names only on it,by the
afternoon the names of the Philips dancers were added, they had a no choice option
Then this band of dance lunatics set about "trapping" other dancers, some came quietly,
others had to have their arms twisted, but they joined,so the momentum picked up and the
list is what we have today, friends from all over the south-east,from different schools of
Modern Jive and Swing, all inputting venue dates and ideas and there's still room for expansion.
At some time in the near future i hope to be back on-line,like the American dude wearing"shades"
and a khaki suit said,as he stepped off a Pacific island during WW2 "i shall return",thats one for
dancers who are "the 40's" aficionado's.
I wish you well ,keep dancing and I'll catch up with you on the circuit.
