Hi folks
We had a fanstastic night last Saturday at the feastive Xmas Ball, as a=
dvertised. Clair Hall
in Haywards Heath is an excellent venue and it attracted some 240 dance=
rs.
Amanda Skelly recommended Jag Jive as an excellent place to dance in Bo=
okham and since organiser
John Miller has joined the list - so we shouldn't miss out on knowing a=
bout his Jive events. There's more
info about Jag Jive at the end of the main text.
A second special mention for Sue's Lancing College Christmas dance. Thi=
s is a fabulous
gothic venue which is sure to be a big hit. A Black Tie event which is =
just perfect for a
Christmas dance. Tickets are now available at a bargin price, here's th=
e details:
Saturday 29th December
***SUE's FESTIVE BALL at LANCING COLLEGE, Lancing, West Sussex, 8 - Mid=

This weekend there's plenty to choose from, my favorites being the Corn=
Exchange on Friday and the
Marletts on Saturday. It would be good if we could get a party over to =
Rochester. For those near London
Big Dave and Lesley will visit Chiswick town Hall this Saturday.
This week's recommendations are:

-- new venue for Katy's increasing successful Rebel Roc
*Le Roc, Friends Provident, Pixham Lane, Dorking
-- Small friendly venue
**Ceroc, the Corn Exchange, High Street, Rochester, Kent 8-12
-- Fantastic ornate building, great dance floor
Saturday 8th December
**Le Roc, Martlets Hall, Civic Way, Burgess Hill, W.Sussex
-- Good modern venue with excellent dance floor
**Dance 2000, The David Lloyd Club, Brighton Village Marina, Brighton
-- Great modern venue with 2 dance floors, plus Peter from Jump 'n 'Jiv=
e
*Dance Crazy, Chiswick Town Hall, Chiswick, London
-old fashioned Swing/modern Jive venue with 2 dance floors, no licenced=

Fom John Miller of JagJive:
We hold our own freestyle nights approximately monthly at 2 venues in m=
id-Surrey. We've been running for 6 months. People who come generally g=
ive us rave reviews - we play a good selection of music, the dance-floo=
rs are superb, the entry price is low, and
drinks dirt cheap. We tend to attract experienced dancers - as we play=
modern, swing, and blues music with a variety of tempos. Our new websi=
te is at:
http://www.geocities.com/jagjive/
By the way, our next dance is our Christmas Party on Dec 21st, at The B=
orough Hall, Godalming, Surrey 8-midnight.
