Hi Paul
You commented that you're not very familiar with Evolution Dance. It's run
by Julian Hansford. He's OK - apart from the shaved head which makes him
look a bit odd - if Julian danced at Broadbridge Steve would call him "The
Alien!"!. Julian teaches LeRoc style classes in Lancing, Rustington and
Lewes. He also puts on a Lindy Hop class in Brighton City Gate Centre on a
Thursday. Julian does not teach at this class, he hires a Lindy teacher
called Gary Tewksbury. I hear that this class is really good so I'm going
along in September.
Julian plays a varied mix of music, mostly the usual popular LeRoc mix you
get everywhere with some swing music mixed in (this is the slower Mack The
Knife type thats easy to modern jive to rather than the frenetic Lindy style
beat).
Good to see you at the party on Saturday. Put me in mind of a shool disco
very dark, very loud and no snogging!
See you soon
Regards
Andy
