I use Kodi on a Pi2 but instead of clogging my crappy rural ADSL connection, I run 4 RTL-SDR's (1 for each UHF MUX) into a HP thin client with tvheadend running on it.

tvheadend gets the EPG straight from the off-air feed. Kodi and tvheadend play well together.
