I'm trying to design + build things in a way that they pass EN60950
testing. It's good practice, among other reasons.

All the standard shafts and knobs are either flattened off or have a
knurly pattern. No way heat shrink would fit, and the flattened off
knobs have screws that would punch the shrink.

It might be easier to earth the shaft. Or use a plastic one, I've found
them now. Or use galvanic isolation, approved components like PSUs,
relays, opto-couplers are easy to come by.

Thanks,

Volker
