Hello everyone,

Enthusiastic turnout, with 21 attendees with $29 collected and
transferred to BR05 account. Balance is in the donation box.

Apologies to BR05 for not keeping a close eye on exactly how much money
was deposited in the brown donations box this evening, but the evening
started with a wild rush of sales !

With thanks on behalf of the group,
Mark Atherton

===========

Early in the evening, the hoards descended on the scrap angle ali pile.
After consulting with Rory at BR05, a price of $3 per meter was agreed.
Sales netted something over $60 cash, and an IOU note for $24. Also, the
‘small’ 10kV single phase transformer sold for $60 including a small
pile of various other items. Monies were directly deposited in the brown
BR05 donation box next to the radio room.

A new member turned up to see what the group was about – welcome.

===========

Synco gave a tutorial about use of 16 bit timer/counters (as on board
the Atmega328 etc.) to a small gathering around the white-board.

===========

William has been working on his LCD watch/display, with Atmel Leonardo
(ATmega32u4) controller. Progress is being made developing drivers, as
is the main application.

===========

Rudy talked about podcasts, including the Dave Jones EEV blog. He also
ran through some of his favourite ‘casts.

===========

Synco talked about his thermal imaging camera which attaches to his
smart phone. Unit was a ‘SeekThermal IR’ unit.

===========

Graham talked about progress of his spark eroder project (which he
presented about three years ago). He then moved onto some modelling work
he had done using hard foam.

===========

Andrew discussed his experience with remote VR goggles from a model
aircraft. Also mentioned his trampolining business in Bromley.
