Won't this be a char driver and not a block driver? My Linux laptop says

charles at charles-laptop:~$ ls -ial /dev/video0
7241 crw-rw----+ 1 root video 81, 0 2011-10-27 08:23 /dev/video0
charles at charles-laptop:~$
