Our next Chch Robotics meeting is in 2 weeks time on Tuesday 15th December
6.30pm in the Science Alive Seminar Room.

The challenge for our meeting is to pick up 330ml drink cans from a science
alive table, lift them up 60mm or more and drop them over the edge.
Continuing until all the cans are removed from the table. These robot
skills will come in handy for those young enough to take part in next years
Robocup competition. Those not so young can of course bring their robots
along to Chch Robotics to put them through their paces.

I have been puzzling how to implement more complex behaviour like state
machines using the NXT-G graphical programming. There are some very will
presented tips in these video tutorials. You can watch them online but it
is a lot easier download the full 75MB and watch them on demand.
http://inside.catlin.edu/site/msrobotics/html/downloads.html The first two
introductory videos are long, but the remainder are short and snappy
forming a nice progression. But you can revisit them for reference in any
order.

People and Robots of all ages are welcome to our meetings. Bring along what
you are working on or just come for a chat. As its Christmas feel free to
bring along a christmas plate of food.

Richard
