<div dir="auto"><h3 style="font-family:"times new roman"">These are the notes that I used when I first setup my system:-</h3><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">1) Download tv_grab_nz-py from </span><a href="http://nice.net.nz/tv_grab_nz-py/" style="color:rgb(85,26,139);font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">http://nice.net.nz/tv_grab_nz-py/</a><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium"> </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">2) Copy tv_grab_nz-py to /usr/local/bin.  Make sure that it is executable. (sudo chmod +x tv_grab_nz-py)</span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">3) Configure it. Note that the configuration file name must match that </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">name of the video source configured in mythtv-setup for the </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">mythbackend/mythfilldatabase to use this grabber. </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">tv_grab_nz-py --configure --config-file ~/.mythtv/<video sources name>.xmltv </span><br style="font-family:"times new roman""><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">Step 3 had some problems for me but it was overcome by copying and editing another <video sources name>.xmltv</span><br style="font-family:"times new roman""><br style="font-family:"times new roman""><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">You also need to symlink otherwise mythfilldatabase will not work automatically (it uses the user mythtv) </span><br style="font-family:"times new roman""><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">sudo ln -s </span><i style="font-family:"times new roman"">/home/yourusername/</i><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">.mythtv/Freeview.xmltv </span><i style="font-family:"times new roman"">/home/mythtv/</i><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">.mythtv/Freeview.xmltv </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">4) To see if the xmltv side of things works run </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">tv_find_grabbers </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">This should return a list of all the installed grabbers, which should </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">include tv_grab_nz-py. </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">5) To see if the myth side of things works run </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">mythfilldatabase </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">Pay close attention to the output of this. If it looks like it worked, </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium">the MythWeb status page should also show a successful run. </span><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><span style="font-family:"times new roman";font-siz
