</div>Yes it is a strange attitude for an open source project.<br>

They have somewhat ghettoised themselves with various features such as<br>
storage groups, myth protocol, etc.<br>

Great within the mythtv closed shop, but hard to get onto other<br>
platforms. The code appears to be the documentation, and it's<br>
offputting to devs.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>My experience (and this was years ago) was that some of the core devs were pretty abrasive personality-wise. They couldn't take any sort criticism or dissent. It certainly put me off contributing and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. I believe those guys are all gone now but it wouldn't surprise me if there is still some influence from their attitudes in the dev culture of the project.<br>
