What does make it work is stopping the backend either by starting mythbackend set up<br>
and exiting immediately or by issuing sudo killall mythbackend ,then starting<br>
Myth front end and going to liveTV it is working.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Mythfrontend can't watch live TV without a backend - it can only get the video to display from a backend instance. Is the mythfrontend wrapper restarting the backend? I think you should look into why this case is working.<br>
