You are on to something here .... File placements and permissions are critical.</blockquote><div><br>If you are using ubuntu (or variants) the backend, and therefore mythfilldatabase, is run by user mythtv. User mythtv needs to have the config file.<br>
<br>If you set it up properly from mythtv-setup it would be like that. <br></div></div>
