    Some progress:<br>

    I re-compiled the kernel with iso9660 and udf support and installed
    it.<br>
    <br>
    vlc plays the dvd just fine.<br>
    <br>
    mythbuntu has the libdvdcss2 option checked.<br>

    When I try to play the dvd I now get in

      I have figured it out.&nbsp; I had compiled my own .37 kernel to solve
      a USB disconnect as the patch had not made it into mythbuntu and I
      forgot to turn on iso9660 and udf support, what a twit!<br>
