Steve

Great worked perfectly - Thanks. When it recordes it always picks Sky, even for TV1,2,etc which are available on FreeView. Is there a way to get it to pick FreeView for the stations available on Freeview which would leave the other Sky channels available.
But when comparing the two for example
TV One Sky = Four Weddings (reality) and FreeView = Four Weddings
(general show) this will I believe cause recording problems.

I don't think the scheduler looks at the category when determining if a show is identical - I believe it only looks at the start and end time and the title. So this particular example should not cause any issues. But you are better off having identical data on all copies of a particular channel.

What I do is to load one of the xml files against both Sky and Freeview sources, to cover all the common channels and then load the other file only against it's own source to pick up the extra channels. E.g. (source id 1 is Sky and 2 is Freeview):
mythfilldatabase --update --file 1 freeview.xml
mythfilldatabase --update --file 2 freeview.xml
mythfilldatabase --update --file 1 sky.xml

I suspect you're just loading the sky xml against the Sky source and the Freeview xml against the Freeview source - mythfilldatabase only loads the data against the one specified source, it doesn't load data for identical channels on other sources.

Cheers,
Steve
