I can see this all ending in tears though .... If some TV manufacturer wishes<br>

updated. If the firmware upgrade stems from a mandated Freeview update<br>
everything turns to custard when the TV is turned on again. Interesting...<br></blockquote><div><br>Right, but as I said they don't need to do a firmware update to change the EPG code. They would need to do a firmware update to extend the capabilities of the MHEG stack or to fix any bugs in it, but I don't think they'll do that lightly. <br>
