</div>It's Jamu that does it rather than the frontend and it has overrides<br>

</blockquote><div><br>I had a look at the source. The frontend searches by program name, season number, and episode number (with the last two parts optional). If it can't find an image that way it tries a file of the form 'series_id[_(fanart|banner|coverart)].(png|jpg|gif)'. So Jamu is just saving the images in the right place with the right names - there's no database link as there is in the case of videos. So yeah, nothing needed in the xml file.<br>
