Hi folks,

Having proved the viability of mythtv it was time to replace my borrowed SkyStar-2 with my own DVB-S card.

I purchased a Technotrend S-1401 from the good people at nicegear.co.nz

It arrived, and I promptly removed the working Skystar 2 and put the S-1401 in its place, same cabling LNB etc.

The Technotrend is being detected:

$ lspci -vvv
<SNIP>
02:06.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
