</div>I agree with Craig's comments. Can your computer make noise at all<br>
(e.g. play an mp3 file from the command line)? First thing I would<br>
check is if the appropriate mixers are correct, and unmuted. If you<br>
use ALSA (which you probably do), this command is 'alsamixer'<br>
<font color="#888888"></font></blockquote><div><br>If sound is working then check your AC3/DTS passthrough settings. It could be that playback is trying to pass AC3 through to a receiver which isn't there. <br><br>Cheers,<br>
