That's interesting. It would also be interesting to see if Sky add a
DVB-T service in the future (using the same frequencies they have). It
would give them a lot more HD capacity one would think... It would be a
good reason to phase out analogue UHF, if they want to switch those
frequencies to digital...
Anyone picked up a whiff of such plans?

Hmmm "we no longer do UHF, we are phasing it out"
Bugger.

They still do the service and will do an install for only about $25. The terrestrial reception from it is perfect.

Subject: [mythtvnz] Getting DVB-T reception
In a rented property with an older terrestial aerial. I have a DVB-T
capable TV and will add the DVB-T functionality to my MythBox when I
am sure I have decent reception.
My TV won't tune anything digital (and not much analogue either) so I
am thinking the aerial and/or cabling is no good. I want a decent
aerial and the cabling probably replaced too.
I read somewhere that a good option is to get Sky to install their
analogue service, for which there is no minimum term. Then cancel it
in the first month and just keep the good reception from the UHF
aerial they installed.
However on the skytv.co.nz site I see nothing about their analogue
service under products, etc. Do they still offer this service? Is this
the best option for a decent aerial and cabling?
Suggestions? (Other than me, who hates heights and doesn't own a
ladder, doing it myself!!!)
