Get Sky UHF installed for around $30, they don't force you to sign up to any contract like sky Digital and if you cancel the day after you get up and running you will only be charged for 1 month.
This means you get sky for 1 month and a shiny new aerial professionally installed and you only have to pay $30 for installation and 1 months worth of sky which is about $35! I might be a little off with my pricing but I did do this in January and it cost me about $70. It runs me digital signal nicely. Thanks sky ;)

I'm in Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt.

I don't have LOS to Fitzhertbert, its mildly blocked by a hill with a
water tower on it. Having said that all the skytv UHF antennas in my
immediate neighborhood are pointing in that direction.
I have a old rusty UHF antenna with a masthead amp.

I've noticed that the multiplex for TV3 is higher in frequency than TVNZ.

The freeview coverage locator with my street says its "very likey" that
I can receive it.

I think I might need at some point to splash out and buy a new and
higher gain antenna.
